In 2009, land owned by AA Clifton Ltd on Romney Marsh was used as a site for the Little Cheyne Court wind farm for 26 wind turbines, they generate nearly 60MW of electricity, the equivalent to 33,000 homes.
Solar PV
In 2012 consutrcution started on an 120 acre site producing 20MW. With approx. 73,000 solar panels producing enough energy for around 6,000 homes. It was the largest developed site in the UK (2013).
